Meet Ms. Witte

    Welcome! This is my seventh year of teaching third grade. Along with teaching, I am also the 10th grade girls volleyball coach and 8th grade girls basketball coach. Go Kernels!

    A little bit about my personal life- I have two dogs named Moose and Jersey, they are both pugs. I am the oldest member of my family. My brother, Eric Witte, will be entering his senior year of college at Dakota Wesleyan University. He plays football for the Tigers and is the starting center. My parents, Rod and Hally, continue to live in Huron, the city in which I grew up and attended high school.

   My educational background-I graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in May of 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I also received a coaching endorsement for basketball and volleyball. Before Wesleyan, I was enrolled at Dakota State University in Madison, where I attended for two years. Recently, I earned a Master's Degree in Learning and Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University.

    I am also a huge sports fan! I played volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school. I love to cheer on the Minnesota Vikings, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Boston Bruins. My favorite person to cheer on is my brother. Go DWU TIGERS!

Fun Facts about Ms. Witte

• I was part of a state championship volleyball team in high school.

• I was a Dean's List student all semesters at Dakota Wesleyan University.

• In my spare time I like to walk my dogs, shop, go fishing, shoot darts, play basketball and watch ESPN.

• I am very close with my family and friends.

• My favorite food is steak.

• My favorite colors are black, pink, brown and purple.

• I can play the piano and the flute

• I enjoy spending time with my dogs.

• I listen to rap music.

• I love to fish and go camping in the summer!

• I am in the profession of my dreams- I have wanted to teach and coach since I was little.
